The atelier
Every piece passes through Madeleine’s hands.
Madeleine has been making jewellery for years. It began with pieces for friends, then the markets at Hammana and Aley, and now her necklaces travel further than she does. Every strand is measured, strung and knotted by hand, with a knot between the beads, so a broken thread never costs the whole necklace.
The stones come from suppliers she has trusted for a decade. The cedars and the little maps are cast locally. Nothing is mass-produced, so no two pieces are ever exactly alike. That is how she likes it.

Materials
Freshwater and baroque pearls. Malachite, garnet, aventurine, tiger’s eye, turquoise, amazonite. Mother-of-pearl cut and polished by hand. Gold-plated stainless steel, chosen because it survives sea air and daily wear.
